HO Scale:

Accurail has released their USRA 55 ton coal hopper in NYS&W Susquehanna, 50 foot combo door box car in Western Maryland, 40 foot steel reefer in FGE, and a 40 foot AAR plug door box car in Missouri Pacific.

Atlas has shipped NE6 cabooses in Clinchfield, Conrail, Norfolk & Western, and Nickel Plate Road; ACF 17000 gallon tank cars in Hooker Chemical, Occidental, and Diamond Shamrock; EMD SD35 locos in Chessie B&O and Chessie C&O; GE Dash 8-40BW locos in Santa Fe and BNSF with DCC and sound; plus Trainman aluminum coal gondolas in BNSF.

Bowser has released 100 ton triple coal hoppers in Reading & Northern, Wheeling & Lake Erie, Norfolk Southern, Chessie C&O, Chessie B&O, Chessie WM, CSX, and PPLX Pennsylvania Power & Light.

Rapido Trains has shipped their new postwar 6-4-6 sleeping car in NC&StL and Chicago & Eastern Illinois, and a grill-parlor car in New York Central.

Tangent Scale Models has released new car numbers on their ACF 70 ton gondola in Pennsylvania G31G original scheme, Pennsylvania G31B plain keystone, and Penn Central.

Walthers has shipped Proto 1000 Alco RS-2 locomotives in Santa Fe and Southern.

N Scale:

Atlas has shipped two bay offset coal hoppers in Georgia, Great Northern, NC&StL, Nickel Plate Road, and P&LE.

ExactRail has released the new Trinity 64 foot TrinCool reefer in Union Pacific ARMN.

Morning Sun Books has released three new titles: Penn Central Through Passenger Service In Color; Erie Lackawanna In Color Volume 7: Mahoning Division; and Trackside In Search Of Virginia & West Virginia Steam With August Thieme.

Shade Tree Books has shipped Pacific Electric and the Growth of the San Fernando Valley.

Kalmbach Publishing has shipped Model Railroad Planning 2012, a special issue of Model Railroader magazine.

Future:

Athearn has made the initial announcement of an HO scale Genesis EMD GP38-2 with multiple parts and various options. The initial road names offered are Missouri Pacific, Southern Pacific (with SP front and rear light package), Southern (high nose), and Canadian National (wide cab), all with many road specific details, and of course available with or without DCC and sound. Also coming will be Genesis EMD SD70ACe locos in the Rio Grande Heritage Union Pacific scheme, BNSF (modern swoosh), Kansas City Southern (gray), and Union Pacific (building America with the flag), all available with or without DCC and sound; and Genesis Southern Pacific C-50-9 bay window cabooses in standard SP, plus the SP Kodachrome scheme.

In the Roundhouse Trains line in HO scale, there will be more arch roof passenger cars - baggage, RPO, combine, coach, diner, and observation - all types available in C&NW yellow, Union Pacific yellow and gray, Southern Pacific green, and Great Northern Empire Builder green and orange.

Atlas has purchased all of the O scale inventory, parts, and tooling of the Walthers Cornerstone structure line, effective immediately. Any of these O scale products will be available in the future only from Atlas.

BLMA Models has announced in both HO and N scales, a new PTTX F89-J flat car. These 89 foot flat cars were modified specifically for pipe loading with cross beams on the deck for carrying pipe and other bulk loads. At a later date, BLMA will be announcing new pipe loads.

Bowser has announced HO scale Executive Line Alco C630 locos: Conrail with either tri-mount or hi-ad trucks, Chesapeake & Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Union Pacific. All schemes and versions available with or without DCC and sound. Also coming from Bowser will be PCC streetcars in Philadelphia, Shaker Heights (you know, Cleveland!), Birmingham, and Boston; all available with or without DCC and sound; and Baldwin DS 4-4-1000 switchers in Canadian Pacific, CP Rail, Western Maryland (fireball), Santa Fe (zebra stripe), Soo Line, Erie Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, Norfolk Southern, and Chicago Great Western; all to be available with or without DCC and sound.

Broadway Limited will be producing HO scale Pennsylvania Railroad M1a and M1b 4-8-2 steam locomotives (all post-1946 versions) in their Paragon2 series, each available in multiple loco numbers; also, the California Zephyr passenger train will be re-run, nine different body styles, cars available in multiple car names for Burlington, Rio Grande, Western Pacific, and the PRR 10-6 sleeper.

InterMountain will be producing 60 foot wood deck flat cars in both HO and N scales in Trailer Train yellow, BN, Santa Fe, Union Pacific, Trailer Train red, Great Northern, BNSF, and TTX. Also coming in HO scale will be EMD SD40-2 locos in Santa Fe, BN, CSX, GATX, Iowa Chicago & Eastern, MEC Pan Am, Norfolk Southern, and Union Pacific; GE ES44AC locos in fantasy schemes for CNW, Chessie C&O, Southern, Western Pacific, Great Northern, and New York Central; and 10000 gallon tank cars in Frontenac, GATX, UTLX, Pan Am Oils, CTTX, Phillips Petroleum, Southern Pacific, and Canadian General Transit.

Walthers has announced HO scale WalthersProto PS 10-5 sleeping cars without skirts in Santa Fe, Baltimore & Ohio, Pennsylvania Fleet of Modernism, and Northern Pacific.

WalthersMainline will be producing HO scale 2980 covered hoppers in Santa Fe, CNW, CSX, and Union Pacific; 40 foot X-29 box cars in Baltimore & Ohio, Chicago Great Western, Nickel Plate Road, and Pennsylvania; and 40 foot double sheathed wood reefers in Burlington, Great Northern WFEX, North Western, and Oscar Mayer.

Walthers has also announced two HO scale Cornerstore structure kits, the Ashmore Hotel and a Two Bay Fire Station.
