HO Scale:
Accurail has released their USRA 55 ton two bay coal hopper in Bessemer & Lake Erie, and in Pennsylvania in six car numbers; plus we received an USRA gondola in Boston & Maine, combo door box car in Pacific Great Eastern, and 40 foot double sheath box car in P&LE.
Athearn has shipped Ready-To-Roll Bombardier passenger cars in New Mexico DOT Rail Runner; 50 foot mechanical reefers in Swift; their streamlined passenger cars, six different car styles, in Southern, California Zephyr, and Union Pacific; 40 foot gondolas in C&EI and Maine Central; 40 foot express box cars in C&EI; and Coalporter cars with loads in five packs in CSX and PPLX.
Atlas has released the GE U23B in Norfolk Southern and Southern (both high nose versions), and EMD SD24 locos in Santa Fe and Union Pacific, and the SD26 rebuild in Santa Fe.
Bachmann has shipped the new 89 foot Colorado Railcar ultra-dome cars in two body styles lettered for McKinley Explorer/Holland America, the new McKinley Explorer passenger starter set featuring the new ultra-dome cars, a new EZ Track Connector Assortment of track pieces, and EZ track rail joiners.
Broadway Limited has released the new Baldwin Centipede diesels in Pennsylvania (multiple schemes and numbers) and Baldwin Demonstrator; and we received the first of their new Southern Pacific Daylight passenger cars, the postwar version of the parlor observation car.
ExactRail is shipping new paint schemes on the PS-2CD 4427 covered hopper: Northern Pacific, Chicago Great Western, Soo Line, Producers Grain, and Cargill; also arriving is the PC&F 6033 box car in Southern Pacific with yellow door.

Atlas has announced HO scale Alco HH660 diesel switchers in Maine Central, EJ&E, Green Bay & Western, Lackawanna DL&W, Lehigh Valley, Northern Pacific, and Walla Walla Valley; these will all be available with or without DCC and sound; USRA steel rebuilt box cars in Ann Arbor, CNW, EJ&E, CN, DT&I, and Rock Island; and Trainman Evans 52 foot gondolas in BVRY, CNW, GNWR, Indiana Harbor Belt, NJ Transit with JC herald, NJ Transit, MKT, USLX, and Wisconsin Central.
In N scale, Atlas will be producing FM Train Master locos in N&W, EL, Pennsylvania, Wabash, Reading and others; NE-6 cabooses in Conrail, W&LE, Nickel Plate Road, Susquehanna, Clinchfield, New Haven, and N&W red; Trainman 70 ton ore cars in BN, CP, Missabe, CN, GN, and Santa Fe; and Trainman PS-2 covered hoppers in AC&Y, D&H, NYC, SAL, PC, Rio Grande, WP, and Endasa, SAdeCV.
ExactRail has announced an HO scale Southern Pacific C-50-7 bay window caboose; it will be available in three schemes: Gothic or Roman reporting marks and numbers, Gothic will be available with the reporting marks and number in two different locations; each scheme available in three numbers. Unlike most ExactRail announcements, reservations are encouraged and are being accepted through October 31.
Norscot Groups will be producing more new HO scale authorized Caterpillar equipment: 772 Off Highway Truck, and a 320DL Hydraulic Excavator.
Smokey Valley Railroad Products has acquired the HO scale tooling from Train Station Products for their Santa Fe Hi-Level passenger cars; and Smokey Valley has announced plans to produce the Santa Fe Hi-Level lounge car which had not been done by Train Station Products; no date has been set for this new car’s arrival.
Walthers has made available the details on the upcoming HO scale Pennsylvania Railroad Broadway Limited passenger train: there will be nine all new PRR passenger cars delivered monthly beginning in January 2011 and running through September 2011, locomotives are due in October 2011. The cars to be produced are: BM70m RPO-baggage, Budd Inn series 21 roomette sleeper, PS Creek series 12-4 duplex sleeper, ACF Imperial 4-4-2 sleeper, PS Harbor series sleeper buffet lounge, Budd 68 seat full diner, Budd kitchen dormitory, PS Rapids series 10-6 sleeper, and PS View series sleeper buffet lounge observation car. The locomotives being produced are Proto 2000 EMD E8 A units available individually or in AA sets, and EMD E7 B units (PRR had no E8 B units and did operate E8 and E7 locos together in sets); all locos will be available with or without DCC and sound. The Broadway Limited represents the train in the 1956-1968 era. If all nine cars are reserved by December 31, 2010, the customer will qualify to receive a FREE Broadway Limited figure set made by Preiser, featuring passengers and PRR crew in authentic period uniforms, a platform sign, and PRR style wrought iron station platform fencing.
